Man killed in Mission Viejo assault, person of interest detained

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the attack that claimed the life of a man in his 20s.

A man was killed in an assault in Mission Viejo on Wednesday afternoon, April 9, and another man was taken into custody as a person of interest, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.Deputies responded to a call on the 27000 block of Camden around 2 p.m.

, Sgt Gerard McCann said. They found a man in his 20s suffering from life-threatening injuries to his abdomen.The victim was declared dead at the scene.
