Surat: Singanpor police nabbed a 40-year-old man with 78g of MD drugs worth Rs 7.87 lakh. The accused was carrying the drugs in his luxury car, which was seized by police.
Accused Alpesh Miyani was nabbed when he was going home on Tuesday night. As his high-end car did not have a number plate and had ‘Miyani Family' written on it, police stopped him near Choki Faliya on Ved Road. As he behaved suspiciously, police checked his car and found the drugs under his driving seat.
During investigation, it was revealed that Miyani is a history-sheeter and was involved in a bio-diesel crime, following which he was booked by Singanpor police. Police sources revealed that he was involved in other crimes. Police seized his car worth Rs 35 lakh along with the drugs.
