The man, who has just 94 followers on TikTok , has racked up more than 3400 likes and hundreds of comments on a simple video explaining his 'hatred' for the reality singing show. 'I can not describe how much I despise this show,' he captioned a short clip of The Voice Australia, which began airing its 12th season last fortnight and features Guy Sebastian, Adam Lambert , LeAnn Rimes and Kate Miller-Heidke as coaches.

'12 years and not one single artist of any not has come out of it,' it read. 'As an aspiring artist how can you possibly think applying for this show is a good idea?' The vast majority of more than 200 Aussies who commented on the TikTok agreed with him. 'The judges are all washed up artists,' one person wrote, with the video creator replying: 'Guy hasn't been chart relevant for a long time but I will admit his voice is pretty damn good.

Guy Sebastian is pictured with fellow Voice coaches Adam Lambert LeAnn Rimes and Kate Miller-Heidke 'Where else would the local RSL pick up a free entry performer from 9pm until 12am?' added a third.

'I'm only watching 'cause of Adam,' one person wrote. 'Also the music industry in Australia doesn’t support local artists! Neither does the radio! When was the last time you heard an Australian on the radio? This is just a glorified version of karaoke!' exclaimed another, 'Contestants should instantly be awarded a Logie for their portrayal in pretending to know who LeAnn Rimes is,' one Aussie joked. LeAnn joined the TV singing competition this year, after homegrown songstress Jessica Mauboy, Brit Rita Ora and American hitmaker Jason Derulo left their big red chairs.

The man, who has just 94 followers on TikTok, has racked up more than 3400 likes and hundreds of comments on a simple video explaining that he hates the competition because no one who comes out of it becomes a successful artist. Pictured: LeAnn Rimes Read More Why LeAnn Rimes could be a 'one and done' The Voice coach Australian Idol winner Guy, who started on The Voice in 2019, is the last judge remaining from the 2023 line-up . Despite this season of The Voice Australia firming up to be The Block's prime time ratings contender , industry insiders claim it may not be enough to persuade new coach LeAnn, who is also appearing on The Voice UK, to commit to regular appearances Down Under.

One TV insider has claimed some of the younger contestants on the show were initially 'reluctant' to choose LeAnn as their new coach because 'they didn't know who she was.' However, Adam has 'proved popular' the source told New Idea, because he's an example of how to make a career stick after winning the competition. 'As an aspiring artist, every year it's on I have to explain this logic to 100 friends, family members, co-workers etc when they tell me I need to audition,' another irate viewer commented on the TikTok.

'Totally agree the judges build them up "oh you're a star you're going places" and never to be seen or heard of again,' reads yet another comment. 'They always do the 'I'll mentor you forever' crap and I bet as soon as the show finishes they never hear from them again,' the TikToker replied. One fan theorised that past winners, like Lachie Gill, probably don't hear from their mentors after the show ends Melbourne singer-songwriter Lachie Gill, who won the eleventh season of the Voice Australia in 2022 , may have already proved this theory true.

The former school teacher, who was coached by UK songstress Rita and received $100,000 and a record label deal with Universal Music Australia. revealed in November that he hadn't heard from the pop star since. 'We had a few messages right after the show, but I haven’t heard from Rita since then,' Lachie told Sydney Confidential in November.

'I haven’t reached out to her either, so I don’t know if she was respond. I’d like to hope she would but I never wanted to jump on her bandwagon to get there. He added that he would have liked to have been coached by Guy because of their common ground.

'He is Australian and I knew I’d see him around in the scene in future but he got blocked by Rita. I understand how busy her life would be. Sometimes I think it would be cool to chat to her, but it doesn’t bother me too much.

' It appears that Guy Sebastian may be growing tired of his judging role on The Voice as claims emerge that the singer is a 'total diva' on set Despite the high turnover of coaches - 20 since the show's 2012 premiere - Guy's tenure is only second to Delta Goodrem , who holds the record with eight seasons at Channel Nine. Guy came under heavy fire in the comments section, but not due to the allegations of 'total diva' behaviour that Daily Mail Australia exclusively reveale d. 'I stopped watching after Guy Sebastian's brother won.

Isn't the whole point of the show to give people without contacts in the industry a chance at a record deal?' another former fan commented. Channel Nine was accused of rigging The Voice, using a loophole to dodge its 'no family' rule after Guy's younger brother Chris took out the competition in 2020 . Chris Sebastian's crowning moment was met with outrage and controversy as he emerged the winner over season favourites Siala Robson and Johnny Manuel.

According to the comments on this latest video, fans have not forgiven nor forgotten. 'Johnny had one of the best voices I've ever heard and yet Guy Sebastian's brother won,' another person wrote. Chris Sebastian, Guy's younger brother and 2020 winner, has previously admitted the show has a 'track record' of producing singers 'who fade back into obscurity' 'I’m on the show currently,' Yorke Heath wrote as the current contestant waded into the brutal comments section.

The Adelaide singer defended his participation on the series, saying that the responsibility of becoming a star is 'the job' of the artist, not the TV show. 'It’s given me some nice exposure, beyond that it’s my job to create a career! don’t expect them to do it all for you I think.' However this didn't do much to change hearts or minds, with multiple viewers replying to Yorke's comment with words such as: 'Sad'.

'They're also DESPERATE for contestants,' added another fan, with someone else chiming in that fans can tell producers have scraped the barrel now that they're in competition with Seven's revamped Australian Idol. 'You can tell. The contestants this year are very weak and getting 4 chair turns,' one reply said.

'Australian Idol was heaps better,' said another. Many other comments lamented the show being a vehicle to 'flog' the judges' new albums and the age-old complaint of each contestant's 'non-negotiable sob story' taking up more time than the episode's performances. A small handful of The Voice fans defended the show, with the only positive comments name-checking Celia Pavey AKA Vera Blue, who came second on The Voice in 2013, but went on to become an ARIA award-winning artist .
