Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Manchester derby between Manchester City and Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium. City head into the clash on the back of just one win in their last 10 matches in all competitions and with their chances of winning a fifth successive Premier League title in serious peril. Meanwhile, United make the trip across Manchester having lost their last two Premier League matches.
City are currently fifth in the table and sit nine points behind Liverpool, with United all the way back in 13th having taken 19 points from their opening 15 league games. Both teams could do with a win and United boss Ruben Amorim will meet City manager Pep Guardiola again having recently masterminded a 4-1 win over City while he was Sporting CP manager. We will have all of the build-up, updates and reaction throughout the day, so stick with us right here on the Manchester Evening News .
11:51 Samuel Luckhurst United XI leak? Interesting a United XI vs City leaked last night. For those who haven't seen it, the leaked XI is Onana, Maguire, De Ligt, Martinez, Mazraoui, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dalot, Amad, Mount, Hojlund. That's obviously unconfirmed until 3.
15. Teams have leaked out of United for years. Phil Neville once stormed through the Villa Park mixed zone demanding to know the source of leaked XIs amid a testing time for David Moyes in December 2013.
On this occasion, the current regularity, brazen manner and apparent identity of the source make it more of an issue than the days when Mourinho would ask me if I knew the team at a press conference. Mourinho never had a problem with journalists finding out information. He did have a problem with loose-lipped colleagues.
What's going on currently is nothing new, either. The same apparent leaker was at it last season and was referenced in our long read on Ten Hag's sacking. Staff at United, like Mourinho, respect that journalists unearth information and they have their own mole hunt.
