Police say a man has been charged with manslaughter after he allegedly killed a taxi driver in August of 2022. In a release Monday, the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says the BC Prosecution Service has charged Jordan Conway with one count of manslaughter after his arrest on Sept. 6, 2024.

On Aug. 14, 2022, the VPD launched an investigation after a 69-year-old man, Aden Hersi, was assaulted by a passenger whom he had driven to the area of Nanaimo Street and East 2nd Avenue. Police say the victim was taken to the hospital with “serious injuries” after the attack, and died more than three months later on Nov.
