Man booked for cheating, forgery

Ludhiana: Police have filed a case of cheating and forgery against a migrant labourer . The accused allegedly got boiler attendant certificates of 62 labourers on his house address. According to the police, boiler attendant certificates help labourers get government benefits.

The accused has been identified as Tulsi Ram Mishra of Moti Nagar. An FIR has been lodged against him on the complaint of Harminder Singh Malik of Pakhowal Road. Police said that boiler attendant certificates help procure benefits for labourers in case of accidents.



The accused, who is a local leader, claimed to help 64 labourers get the certificates. However, it was found that out of 64 certificates, the accused got 62 made on his own house address. The accused has been arrested and is being questioned.
