Man arrested after 'large amount' of drugs and cash found in house search

A man has been arrested following a drugs warrant in Rochford.

Officers carried out the warrant at an address in Southend Road shortly before 6.30am on Friday. It was part of an investigation into the supply of Class A drugs.

During the operation officers discovered a quantity of drugs as well as large amounts of cash. A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession of Class B or C drugs, and acquiring, using, or possessing criminal property. He was taken into custody for questioning and has since been released on bail until 3 July.
