A man and a woman have been arrested after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash this weekend. The crash in believed to have happened on Tiviot Way in Stockport at around 6am on the morning of Saturday September 7. Officers say that a 55-year-old man, believed to be the motorcyclist, died at the scene while a man, 29, and woman, 23, have both been arrested in connection with the incident.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “At around 6am, a car travelling along the A6188 Tiviot Way collided with a motorcycle that was navigating a bend. “Sadly, the rider, a man aged 55, died at the scene. His family are being supported by specialist officers.
“A man aged 29 and a woman aged 23 have both been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving . “Enquiries are ongoing.
