BVI News has received reports of a 34-year-old man being charged with drug possession with intent to supply after allegedly being caught selling drugs at the Mill Mall in Road Town earlier this month. According to well-placed sources, the Armed Response Unit (ARU) received an anonymous tip about a man dealing marijuana within the shopping facility. Upon arrival, police chased and detained the suspect.
A search of his person reportedly uncovered several small bags of a vegetable substance believed to be marijuana and a white substance suspected to be cocaine. The man was subsequently arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply. He was reportedly granted station bail ahead of his arraignment before the Magistrate’s Court later this month.
