The driver failed to remain at the scene of the accident Stock image. A man aged in his 20s has been arrested in connection to the hit and run incident in Clondalkin on Sunday. Gardaí made the arrest last night and the man is currently detained at a garda station in south Dublin under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The incident, which involved a male pedestrian and a van, took place on Cloverhill Road in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, at approximately 1.45pm on Sunday afternoon, October 20. The pedestrian, aged in his 20s, was seriously injured in the incident and was brought to the hospital for treatment.
Gardaí confirmed the van failed to remain at the scene. Investigations are ongoing, a garda spokesperson said..
