A MAPÚA Malayan Colleges Mindanao (MMCM) graduate is among the top passers in the April 2025 Electronics Engineers and Electronics Technicians Licensure Examinations. Charlothe John Isula Tablizo placed fourth in the Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination with a rating of 91.70 percent as he also secured second place in the Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination with a rating of 94 percent.
In a phone interview with SunStar Davao on April 11, Tablizo said he did not expect to be included in the Top 10 in both exams. During his review, his main goal was simply to pass, but he pushed himself harder knowing this would be his final academic journey. “I’ll just do my best and work hard so mao to siya during my six months of review gibuhat nako ang tanan.
Actually, nagkulang pa ko og tulog, fortunately, thank God nagbunga pud siya sa last (I told myself I would just do my best and work hard. That’s what I did during my six months of review — I gave it my all. I even lacked sleep, but fortunately, thank God, it all paid off in the end),” he said.
Tablizo shared that he took the exams on April 2, 3, and 4, with the results released on April 10. He recalled feeling very nervous during the exams. At one point, he even made a mistake while shading the letters of his name.
Despite the pressure, he made sure his answers were accurate and managed his time well, knowing he had only four hours to complete the exam. He proudly shared that four other examinees who were all graduates of MMCM passed both licensure examinations. Tablizo encouraged future Electronics Engineering students not to be discouraged by the difficulty of the course, emphasized that while it is challenging, it is also an exciting field.
He added that the career offers many opportunities across different industries, and the experience becomes truly fulfilling once one completes the program and passes the board exams. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that out of 2,820 examinees, only 1,120 passed the Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination, while 1,971 out of 2,411 passed the Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination. The exams were administered in the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga in April 2025.
