'Major Nostalgia': Indian Woman Teaches Gen Alpha Daughter to Communicate With Letters

A video of an Indian woman teaching her daughter how to post a handwritten letter goes viral.

With the changing times and technology, rectangular slabs have become our go-to modes of communication. However, one mom has taken it upon herself to keep the art and charm of letters alive.

Recently, an Indian woman took to Instagram to share a short clip of teaching her Gen Alpha daughter how to post a letter and its importance. She makes her daughter familiar with the process of posting a letter. The clip has gone viral online.



The video opens to show an Indian mother-daughter duo at the post office. In the video, the woman states the reason why she visits the post office with her Gen Alpha daughter. She shares, “The other day I made my Gen Alpha daughter sit and experience the traditional mode of communication which we all cherished at some point in time, writing letters.

” The woman adds, that she made a greeting card and wrote a message for her Nanu (maternal grandfather).” “We drove down to the nearest post office. I felt like I time-traveled to the 90s.

We purchased two Rs 5 stamps and stuck them on the envelope,” she adds. The video also records Nanu’s reaction, to post-receiving the letter. The video features a short snippet of Nanu reading out the letter.

Later, he thanks his grandchild for such a sweet letter. The video was posted on an Instagram account @yuvika.abrol.

Sharing the video, the user wrote, “Major Nostalgia!! That special feeling of handwritten notes and the smell of paper.
