Major disruption for ScotRail passengers as services cancelled and delayed due to driver shortage

Due to various cancellations, thousands of Rangers and Celtic fans travelling to Hampden this afternoon for the League Cup final and Christmas shoppers could be affected. The train operators took to social media to warn travellers about the "particularly challenging weekend" due to availability of drivers. They are also urging passengers to check the ScotRail app before embarking on their journeys today.



The national rail operator wrote on X: "Unfortunately, due to the availability of drivers on Sunday, there are a number of cancellations to services . "This is a particularly challenging weekend, and with the Christmas period fast approaching, more drivers than normal are unavailable for rest day working.
