Country artist Stephen Wilson Jr. has been forced to cancel multiple shows after r evealing his mother is in critical condition following a serious ATV accident. The Year To Be Young 1994 singer was scheduled to perform at The Heights Theater in Houston this weekend, but announced on Instagram that he will remain by his mother’s side while she is in intensive care.
“Hello everyone. Our sweet, wild mother was involved in a tragic ATV (All-terrain vehicle) accident,” he wrote. “She was life-lined from a cornfield & is in the ICU & in critical condition & fighting.

She will undergo a surgery tomorrow that could hopefully stabilize her condition.” He confirmed that his New Orleans show on April 4 would be canceled, and the Houston show on April 5 would be rescheduled.

His official bio describes a tough upbringing shaped by his father, a single dad and former boxer. “Wilson was raised by a single father who was a boxer and had him boxing from age seven through adulthood as an Indiana State Golden Gloves finalist.”.
