Major country star calls off shows as mother remains in critical condition at hospital

A beloved country singer was forced to cancel his concerts after an ATV accident put his mother in the ICU.

Country artist Stephen Wilson Jr. has been forced to cancel multiple shows after r evealing his mother is in critical condition following a serious ATV accident. The Year To Be Young 1994 singer was scheduled to perform at The Heights Theater in Houston this weekend, but announced on Instagram that he will remain by his mother’s side while she is in intensive care.

“Hello everyone. Our sweet, wild mother was involved in a tragic ATV (All-terrain vehicle) accident,” he wrote. “She was life-lined from a cornfield & is in the ICU & in critical condition & fighting.

She will undergo a surgery tomorrow that could hopefully stabilize her condition.” He confirmed that his New Orleans show on April 4 would be canceled, and the Houston show on April 5 would be rescheduled.
