The Kansas City Chiefs will look to continue their undefeated season on Sunday when they face the Buffalo Bills. Early on in the season, despite being undefeated, many were concerned about the Chiefs' receiving corps after both Rashee Rice and Marquise Brown were ruled out for the remainder of the season. So, prior to the trade deadline, Kansas City acquired All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins from the Tennessee Titans.
Since joining the team, Hopkins has 14 catches for 171 yards and two touchdowns in three games. Denny Medley-Imagn Images Coach Andy Reid recently spoke about what sets Hopkins apart from other receivers on the team and across the NFL. “He’s great with the contested balls, that’s what he’s great with, so if you get it in – he has long arms and big hands and if you get it in that radius, you’re pretty sure he’s going to get that son of a gun," Reid said.
"We’ve had good receivers here and we have good receivers here, but that’s his strength right there.” Quarterback Patrick Mahomes also praised Hopkins for his ability to beat tight coverage. "I mean, that truly is special and sometimes it gets lost because whenever you’ve got a guy on the boundary that’s one-on-one with – I mean, like this week, he was with (Patrick) Surtain (II) and Surtain’s one of the best corners in the league – and he was winning some of those matchups." Mahomes will hope that he can continue to find Hopkins this Sunday in a massive AFC matchup against Buffalo. Related: What's Kareem Hunt Workload Plan vs.
