Mahindra and MG Motor to hike prices of cars from this date: Here’s by how much

The Cyberster is offered with two battery and motor options abroad. The entry-level model will feature a 64kWh battery and a single 308 hp rear axle-mounted electric motor, offering a range of 520 km. Mahindra and JSW MG Motor India are two new brands that have joined the growing list of carmakers that have hiked their prices. M&M and JSW MG Motor will hike their prices from January 2025 by up to three percent. Apart from these two brands, automakers including Maruti, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Audi, and BMW have announced a price increase starting with the new calendar year.

Mahindra stated that the price revision is driven by inflation and higher commodity prices and MG Motor India said that the rise in input costs and other external factors have resulted in the price correction. However, we expect the brand will bring in the top-of-the-line dual motor variant with 77 kWh battery pack. Talking about recent activity from Mahindra, the company launched the much anticipated Be 6 and XEV 9e EVs in the Indian market. Both EVs have garnered the attention of many consumers with their brilliant pricing, unique futuristic design, features, technology, and performance.

Mahindra has only announced the price for the base trim of the XEV 9e and Be 6 called Pack One, which does not include the charger and is available for separate purchases. The XEV 9e is priced at Rs 21.9 lakh and the Be 6 is priced at Rs 18.
