Banks in multiple cities will remain shut on Thursday, April 10 on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. The official holiday calendar for the banks is published annually by the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) which mandates bank closures on the specified dates. The holiday list published by the central bank differ from the regular second and fourth Saturday and Sunday.
However, digital banking services will remain fully operational during these holidays. Customers can continue to use internet banking, mobile banking apps, UPI, and WhatsApp banking services for transactions without disruption. Bank customers are also advised to check their respective branches for specific holiday schedules as per their states.
