Pune: Karnataka state minister for information technology and biotechnology Priyank Kharge on Friday criticised the Mahayuti govt's performance. He said that Karnataka was always in competition with Maharashtra to attract investment but during the Mahayuti's tenure, the state has lagged behind. "Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana are favourites among investors.
But in the last two years, many projects from Maharashtra were taken to Gujarat and the state is now falling behind," Kharge said while interacting with reporters in Pune on Friday. He was in the city for party meetings for the assembly poll campaign. He said the Gujarat model was nothing but a factory of lies started by Modi when he was chief minister which he converted into an industry after becoming PM.
"The entire party's base is on lies. They formed govt by making false promises, and when their lies are being exposed, they are playing the communal card, claiming that Hindus are in danger. In reality, the BJP is in danger," Kharge added.
He refuted the BJP's claims that Congress in Karnataka has failed to deliver its promises. "The BJP is spreading lies about Karnataka. All guarantees are working absolutely fine in my state.
We are delivering our promises, and the state's economy is improving," he said..
