Maharashtra: Worms found in millet bars distributed at Yavatmal zilla parishad school

Representative Image Yavatmal : Many millet bars distributed under the Prime Minister's Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana at the zilla parishad school at Pata in Ghatanji tehsil of the district were found to be infested with worms, causing an uproar among parents who have accused the authorities of risking the health of their children. Around 2,47,000 students across 2,748 schools in the district are receiving millet bars under the school nutrition programme. The incident happened on Friday when students opened these bars at the ZP school in Pata and found white larvae inside, said sources.
