PUNE: Enhancing the amount given to women through the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme from Rs 1,500 to 2,100, loan waivers to farmers with a 20 percent subsidy on MSP on crops, generation of 25 lakh jobs , and a new vision for Maharashtra are some of the features reflected in the Ajit Pawar-led NCP's manifesto, which was released in Mumbai on Wednesday. Along with the party's manifesto for the entire state, separate manifestos specifically for the constituencies in which NCP is contesting in this assembly polls were also released on Wednesday. NCP Chief Ajit Pawar was in Baramati, where he released the manifesto for Baramati, the constituency he is contesting.

State NCP President Sunil Tatkare released the party's manifesto for the entire state in Mumbai. During Mahayuti's campaign rally in Kolhapur on Tuesday, chief minister Eknath Shinde announced an increase in the 'Ladki Bahin' scheme amount to Rs 2,100, and the same promise has been reflected in NCP's manifesto. Along with that, the party has also promised to give Rs 15,000 per month remuneration to Anganwadi and Asha workers in the state.

Focusing on the agriculture sector, the party promised loan waivers for the farmers in its manifesto. It also assured to give 20 percent subsidy on the MSP of crops. Apart from that, Rs 25,000 per hectare for the foodgrain growers has been promised.

Apart from these promises, Ajit Pawar's party promised to reduce electricity bills by 30 percent. Focusing on the youths of the state, it promised the generation of 25 lakh jobs in the state along with a Rs 10,000 stipend to 10 lakh students during their training program. While the opposition accused the state govt of putting an extra financial burden on the govt by making 'impractical' promises, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar slammed the opposition.

"While they are criticising our schemes, claiming that we are putting a financial burden on the state, the opposition is promising to give even bigger amounts to people if they come to power, which shows contradiction in their stance." "Most of these promises can be fulfilled. Maharashtra is a developed state, and we will have to enhance the resources to increase the state's revenue.

While preparing the state's budget, we also focus on cutting down certain expenses without affecting the common people. If we manage to enhance our resources and cut down expenses, we will be able to deliver most of these promises," Ajit Pawar said in Baramati. Though NDA formed the govt for the third time in the centre, the Mahayuti's performance in Maharashtra was not impressive.

However, Ajit Pawar on Wednesday claimed that the situation has changed in the state post-Lok Sabha elections. "NDA forming the govt in the centre for the third time has a positive impact for Mahayuti in the state. During Lok Sabha, farmers were in distress due to less rainfall.

However, recently the state received good rain, which is good for agriculture, and the farmers are also happy with some of our schemes. The people have also realised that the opposition was peddling a fake narrative, which will not work in the assembly polls anymore for them," Ajit Pawar said..
