Less than 24 hours are left for the voting to begin for the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly on November 20 (Wednesday). A total of 9.63 crore voters will seal the fate of over 4,000 candidates tomorrow.
The state is witnessing a direct fight between Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliances. Mahayuti comprises of BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) and NCP (Ajit Pawar) whereas MVA includes Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharad Pawar). In the last state elections, 37 seats witnessed a close fight where the winning margin was less than 5000.
