Shiv Sena (UBT) Uddhav Thackeray unveiled his party's manifesto for the Maharashtra assembly polls. He assured free education for male students, stabilising prices of essential items and scrapping the Dharavi redevelopment project. Thackeray-led Sena is part of Maha Vikas Aghadi, which also comprises the Congress and Sharad Pawar's NCP (SP).
Thackeray assured that male students will also get free education just the way female students are getting. He assured to keep stable the prices of essential commodities. On the Dharavi redevelopment project, he said it will be scrapped as the project will have ramifications on Mumbai.
He added that Maharashtra and Mumbai will have a housing policy keeping the rapid urbanisation in mind. If elected, his government will scrap the cluster development of Koliwadas and Gaothans. The development will be done after taking the residents into confidence, he added.
Thackeray added that his party will work towards creating employment opportunities too. The state will vote on November 20 and the counting of votes will talka place on November 23..
