(Image: PTI) 2 / 8 The assembly election results marked a celebratory moment for the BJP, which was on course to win 132 of the 149 seats it contested in the state. Combined with its allies, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction), the Mahayuti alliance seemed poised to secure a commanding 226 out of 288 seats, leaving the Congress-Shiv Sena(UBT)-NCP(SP) coalition trailing far behind with a mere 50 seats.
