Pune: Any student who has not appeared for this year's state board exams can now apply for July-August supplementary examinations for standards X and XII, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education ( MSBSHSE ) has said. This marks a significant departure from the previous policy, where supplementary exams were restricted to students who failed the March examinations or those seeking improvement in their grades. "This initiative aims to prevent academic year loss for students who miss the regular March examination enrolment deadline," said a board official.
The online application process for Form No. 17 will commence on April 15, 2025, through the board's official website (www.mahahsscboard.
in). Students can apply under the same terms and conditions as the March 2025 examinations, with a registration fee of Rs 1,110 plus a processing fee of Rs 100 for both standards X and XII candidates. The students need to take printouts of online application forms and the fees paid receipt and submit them to the respective school or junior college before May 15, 2025.
Eligible students will receive enrolment certificates online. Once they obtain the enrolment certificates, they need to submit their online applications to participate in the board examinations on the dates announced by the board. The new policy also allows students with disabilities and those who completed Class 5 or 8 through the Maharashtra State Open Schooling Board to enrol as private candidates for standard X examination.
The deadline for submitting applications under the sports quota for February-March 2025 SSC (X) and HSC (XII) examinations has been extended from April 15 to April 21, 2025, due to the scheduled maintenance of ‘Aaple Sarkar' service portal from April 10-14, 2025, said a notification from the state board..
