Stanley 4, Hollands 16 DORCHESTER TOWN 2 Buse 45, Spetch 85 DORCHESTER came from behind to earn a point away to Gosport in the Southern League on Wednesday night. Boro raced into an early 2-0 lead courtesy of Alfie Stanley and Danny Hollands, but a Matt Buse goal on the cusp of half time brought the Magpies right back into the tie. Whilst not their best performance of the season, Tom Killick's side battled until the end and were rewarded when Will Spetch levelled the scores in the 85th minute to secure a point away from home at Privet Park Killick made three changes from the draw with Bracknell at the weekend as Ollie Haste, Matt Buse and Marcus Daws came into the starting 11.

It was a terrible start for the Magpies though, who found themselves behind within the opening five minutes. An in-form Alfie Stanley netted his 12th goal of the season as he slotted past Gerard Benfield after four minutes. It went from bad to worse for Killick's side, who were 2-0 down twelve minutes later as Danny Hollands rifled into the top corner from 20 yards - leaving the Magpies stunned.

Dorchester struggled to get a foot hold in the game, and it took until the 35th minute for the visitors to have their first real chance of the game when Olaf Koszela was denied by Adam Parkes from close range. Tom Bragg then came close as the ball fell to him from a corner but fired over the bar from 12 yards. Buse then struck the crossbar five minutes before half time as the Magpies started to gather more momentum.

Benfield was then called into action to keep it at 2-0 as he denied Stanley who was through on goal, right before Dorchester scored at a crucial moment in the game, as Buse sent a shot into the back of the net to half the deficit. The second half was a cagier affair as Gosport looked to hold on to their lead, having won just four times in the league all season. Daws came close with a free kick in the 80th minute, but the winger was unable to find the back of the net.

With time running out, Dorchester were desperate to find an equaliser, and in the 85th minute, their moment came. Luke Pardoe sent in a cross which found Spetch in the box and the defender coolly slotted the ball home to the delight of the travelling fans. The draw means Dorchester move up to fourth spot ahead of their home tie with league leaders Merthyr on Saturday.
