Madonna’s manager of 33 years, Guy Osery, has detailed his 'craziest' moment while on tour with Madonna.

After more than three decades of managing one of pop culture’s most iconic figures, Guy Oseary still finds it difficult to name a single “craziest” moment with Madonna . Speaking with The Mirror at the 2025 Breakthrough Prize Awards , Oseary, who has managed Madonna’s career for 33 years, recalled what he described as an unforgettable experience in May 2023 - a historic concert that brought 1.6 million fans to Copacabana Beach, Brazil .

“It’s not a crazy story, but it was a crazy thing to be part of,” Oseary said. “She performed in front of 1,600,000 people, and it was challenging but extraordinary and surreal.” The massive free show was the close to Madonna’s Celebration Tour, commemorating four decades of boundary-pushing music and reinvention.

With Copacabana Beach packed beyond its limits and tens of thousands more watching from boats and rooftops, the event not only underlined Madonna’s enduring global appeal but also Oseary’s unmatched abilities as a celebrity manager in the entertainment industry. “It’s hard to narrow it down,” he added. “We’ve only been together 33 years, it’s too many [stories] to even consider.

” Oseary, 52, has long been a fixture in the world of entertainment and tech. Known for co-founding Maverick Records in the 1990s and later co-managing U2, his career has evolved beyond music. The last time he crossed paths with The Mirror, he noted, was at a cryptocurrency event, a space where Oseary has become increasingly active.

“I was working with Yuga Labs and all the NFT creators,” he said. “Since I was a kid, I’ve been around creative people and talent, so I was really excited about the idea that these artists could do something extraordinary through blockchain.” Despite the turbulence in the crypto and NFT markets over the past two years, Oseary remains optimistic.

“There were a lot of reasons why it was very challenging for that community to do really well,” he said. “But now, with less ambiguity in the law and more support, I think amazing things will come out of it.” As for his predictions for the 2025 stock market, Oseary demurred with a laugh, “I don’t know what [will happen], but it will.
