Drivers are being warned to expect disruption at rush hour following a crash on the M60. Two lanes are currently closed on the anticlockwise carriageway between junctions 17 at Prestwich and Whitefield, and 16 at Pendlebury. According to the Inrix traffic monitoring system, it follows a collision that has taken place this morning (December 13).
An update from Inrix said: "Two lanes closed and slow traffic due to accident on M60 anticlockwise from J16 A666 Manchester Road (Pendlebury) to J17 A56 Bury New Road (Prestwich/Whitefield)." National Highways is reporting delays approaching the scene. There are also queues on the junction 17 slip road.
