market. The signing ceremony took place in Dalton, Ga., on Friday, and was attended by LX Pantos CEO Lee Yong-ho, Korea Ocean Business Corp.
(KOBC) Director of Business Operations Yoon Sang-ho and officials from the Georgia Department of Economic Development. The newly acquired facility is a state-of-the-art ambient logistics center with two buildings on a 304,769-square-meter site, an area equivalent to 43 football fields. The $120-million acquisition was jointly financed through a public-private partnership between LX Pantos and the KOBC.
The investment aligns with the Korean government’s Global Strategic Logistics Hub Initiative, which aims to expand self-owned logistics infrastructure for Korean firms in key international markets. Since Korean logistics providers often lack proprietary overseas facilities, the initiative ensures long-term asset security and enhances global competitiveness. LX Pantos plans to scale up its U.
S. logistics operations with the new facility, improving supply chain stability and efficiency for key clients such as LG Electronics and Hanwha Qcells. It also intends to pursue new business opportunities with both Korean and global manufacturers.
