Speaking to Qatar Tribune, Hassan Al Mousawi, CEO of Safe Flight Solutions and organiser of the Lusail Sky Festival, emphasised the uniqueness of this event in Qatar’s entertainment landscape. “This is the first time we are hosting such a large multimodal display in Qatar, combining aerobatics from airplanes, airborne fireworks, ground fireworks, a laser show, and 3,000 drones flying simultaneously.
It’s an incredible combination that leaves a lasting impression on anyone watching. This is truly an event not to be missed,” Al Mousawi said. He added that each show brought something unique to the festival, making it difficult to single out the best performance.
“I encourage everyone to attend. If they missed today, they shouldn’t miss tomorrow or the day after,” he said. The Lusail Sky Festival is part of Qatar’s broader effort to establish itself as a premier global destination for entertainment and tourism.
Al Mousawi highlighted the growing focus on large-scale events, noting his previous collaborations with Visit Qatar for the Qatar Balloon Festival and Qatar Kite Festival. “This festival takes things a step further by bringing a multimodal display that I am sure everyone will enjoy,” he said, stressing how such events contribute to Qatar’s long-term tourism strategy. The success of the Lusail Sky Festival was made possible by the collective efforts of several government and private entities.
Al Mousawi expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Interior, Qatar Armed Forces, Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, Qatar Customs Authority, Lusail City, and the festival’s main sponsor, Visit Qatar, for their unwavering support in bringing the event to life. “I am truly proud and deeply grateful to all the agencies involved. Without their support, what you see here today would not have been possible,” he said.
