After being stalled on the first drive, Vanderbilt scored on its first play, a 63-yard touchdown reception by Quincy Skinner Jr. LSU proceeded to tie the game with a touchdown of its own on the following drive. The Tigers fell out the AP Top 25 poll after suffering a three-game losing streak to the hands of Texas A&M, Alabama and Florida.
