Officers charged a Lufkin man with robbery after responding to the incident around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Lufkin police report.
Caleb A. Perez, 18, displayed a handgun at a Walmart employee while concealing merchandise at the store, the report states. Perez was arrested on charges of aggravated robbery and unlawful carrying of a weapon and also had warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia, minor in possession of tobacco and minor in possession.
He remained in the Angelina County Jail Friday afternoon on a collective $106,120 bond. Someone committed identify theft around 10:20 a.m.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made four arrests through Friday afternoon. Arrests and charges include: Robert Jewell Harris, 48, of Center, warrants for federal hold and judgment/robbery; Kelly Denise Rains, 50, of Lufkin, warrant for possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana; Cathy Jo Clinton, 37, of Pollok, warrants for attempting to commit tampering with/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair and possession of 4-200 grams of a penalty group 1 controlled substance; and Austin J.
Allen, 25, of Diboll, warrants for no driver’s license, not secured by seatbelt (driver/passenger) and motion to adjudicate guilt/possession of 4-200 grams of a penalty group 1 controlled substance. The Texas Department of Public Safety made two arrests late Thursday through Friday afternoon. Arrests and charges include: Caleb Jeremiah Blake, 20, of Lufkin, possession of 1-4 grams of a penalty group 2 controlled substance, possession of less than 28 grams of a penalty group 3 controlled substance, possession of 2-4 ounces of marijuana and a warrant for motion to revoke probation for possession of 4-400 grams analogue of a penalty group 2 controlled substance; and Colby Lee Brooks, 30, of Huntington, driving while license invalid with a previous conviction/suspension without insurance and warrants for continuous violence against the family, accident involving injury, driving while license invalid with a previous conviction/suspension without insurance and possession of less than 1 gram of a penalty group 1 controlled substance.
The Angelina County Jail housed 263 inmates as of 5 p.m. Friday.
