LPAs form inside, outside PAR; more rain seen from southwest monsoon

MANILA, Philippines – Two low pressure areas formed on Sunday, September 15, with one LPA inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility and the other LPA outside PAR. As of 8 am on Sunday, the LPA inside PAR was located 440 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora, while the one outside was 2,145 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA inside PAR currently has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone, but the one outside has a moderate chance.
