A trendy Vietnamese cafe has opened its doors in Perth’s south. Lovers Deli & Canteen officially opened on Monday to White Gum Valley locals’ delight. The store — showcasing a meticulously designed retro interior — shared the exciting news to their Instagram.

“We’re so happy to finally swing the doors open and have you over for a cuppa and some damn tasty food. To kick things off we’ll be here 7-4 during the week and 7-3 on weekends ❤️,” Lovers Deli & Canteen wrote. “We’ve made it our mission to elevate the simple things in life, using the finest local produce we can get our hands on! We can’t wait to have you over ❤️.

” The new joint boasts the slogan: “Hot food. Cold drinks. Great service.

” Lovers Deli & Canteen took over the spot of a former longstanding news agency on 228 South Street, White Gum Valley, and is co-owned by locals Mia Gammon and Jake Carter who own two more Perth cafes. Good Things — with Mosman Park and Fremantle locations — is known for its top tier coffee. Mr Carter also owns a chic roastery and espresso bar in Myaree called Double Double Coffee.
