The Love Island star became one of the most controversial housemates to join the ITV2 show, which was eventually won by David Potts. During her time on Celebrity Big Brother , Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu hit the headlines time and time again due to the comments she made during the show, as well as her behaviour towards some of the other contestants. Ekin-Su has now taken time to reflect on her appearance on the show, admitting she was "healed" at the time and was always very "defensive," something which she said wouldn't happen if she went on again.

Speaking about her time on Celebrity Big Brother , she told Lorraine: "For me, Celebrity Big Brother is a good show. I don't regret it. I do understand it was the wrong time for me to go on the show.

I was healing - I wasn't healed. "I was very defensive. When I look back at myself, I can't recognise myself.

The mentioning Love Island all the time, being all self-defensive, I wouldn't be that person now. I take accountability for maybe some of the things I said on there. I forgive and I learn and you move on.

That's the past now and I have so much love for everyone that was on there and I wish them the best." Ekin-Su never returned for the live final of the show, something which she later described as "setting boundaries". Explaining her decision, she said: "I know it’s unlike me to hide away, but I’ve been taking some time to reflect.

Sometimes in our lowest moments, we learn the most important lessons about ourselves. "I hope you don’t think I was selfish for setting boundaries and putting my own needs first last night. I’m fully aware that not everybody will understand my absence, or think it was the right decision to make, BUT it was the right decision for me.

I chose to remove myself from a potentially uncomfortable situation that I preferred to avoid." She added: "I’m proud of myself for recognising what I need during this time, despite the hate that might come my way. Accountability is key and when I’m ready, I will give some context around these past few weeks.
