Love Island stars, influencers and more flock to Bolton boxing gym

Influencers, models and an iconic sporting brand flocked to an event in Bolton organised by a well-known boxing gym.

Love Island stars, influencers and models flocked to an event in Bolton to celebrate an iconic sportswear brand. The Reebok: Boxing for Better Mental Health event was hosted by the Halliwell based Elite Community Hub CIC and celebrated the sportswear brand’s origins in the town. It also helped to highlight how boxing can be a vital tool for supporting people’s mental health.

Elite Boxing coach Alex Matvienko said: "Boxing is more than just a sport, it's a powerful platform for building mental resilience, self-confidence, and bringing the community together. "There's a deep connection between Reebok and Bolton, and with local great, Amir Khan boxing for Halliwell ABC when he was an amateur and now Elite Boxing being the home of Halliwell ABC, it's fantastic to be bringing Reebok back to boxing in Bolton. All kinds of guests were invited (Image: Robert Binder/Powerplay) "Hosting such an iconic global sporting brand at our venue is a huge tribute to the work we've put in to build the facility and our reputation in Bolton and beyond.



" The event featured launch of Reebok’s new performance underwear for men, Finlo and Howe along with a range of celebrity guests. Guests at the gym and event space on the second floor of Wordsworth Mill, included Bolton-born Love Island: All Stars favourite, Joshua Ritchie. An inspiring talk was held (Image: Robert Binder/Powerplay) It also featured Sam Hulme, Ibrahim and Emalia, Ben James, and many more, who joined talks and training sessions from Elite Boxing Gym coaches.

The star guests were also given the chance to step in the ring and throw shots at some of Elite’s professional fighters, including: Imad Naseeb, Yousif Saeed, Robert Racz and Yusuf Nazokatov. At the end of the session , Alex Matvienko and Scott Mitchell delivered an inspiring talk on mental health . The open discussion sparked deep conversations about breaking the expectation of being an “Alpha Male” and the struggles men can face in opening up about their problems. Elite Boxing has now been inspired to expand its concept of boxing for mental health corporate workshops for businesses to help get the benefits for their teams.
