Louisiana and the Grammys: Lainey Wilson, Jon Batiste and 17 more artists get nominations

For the second consecutive year, Louisiana's Lainey Wilson is nominated for a best country album Grammy Award.

Baskin native Wilson, 32, took home the statuette, her first Grammy, in February for "Bell Bottom Country." That 16-song album also captured album of the year at the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards and the 57th Annual Country Music Association Awards. Wilson got the Grammy nod again earlier this month for her fifth studio album, "Whirlwind," released in August.



Charting singles from that project include "Hang Tight Honey,” “Country's Cool Again”, “4x4xU” and “Good Horses,” a duet with fellow country superstar Miranda Lambert . She wrapped up this year's "Country's Cool Again" tour on Friday in Monroe. Wilson embarks on an international tour in January.
