Bringing a taste of Nuevo León to downtown Arlington, Los Molcas Tacos Bar & Grill serves homemade dishes with a family touch. Owned by Elda Olvera and Jose Abud, who also run the nearby Sky Event Center, this eatery has quickly become a celebrated part of the city's dining landscape. After stumbling across the space for lease in 2020, Olvera and Abud seized the opportunity to create a place where the spice levels meet their standards, and every customer feels at home.

The quest for the right caterers for their event center clients drove the couple to open their catering company and put down restaurant roots in the heart of Arlington. The establishment, located perfectly on East Abram St., was born out of desire and need, and the co-owners have garnered a loyal following swiftly.

"The machacado is specially made where we’re from in Monterrey. We’re originally from Nuevo León and that's what we implement into everything we make here," Elda Olvera stated, as detailed by the City of Arlington’s official website, emphasizing the authentic regional flavor they bring to their menu. With a team of eight to ten employees, including their eight children, who contribute to the family business in various ways, Olvera and Abud have created a community within their restaurant's walls.

They say their chef, Moises Lopez, is critical to their success and plays an instrumental role in the restaurant's operation. Their commitment to spice, flavor, and all things homemade extends to their salsa and tortillas, crafted from scratch to assure quality and authenticity for a palate that craves true Mexican flavors..
