India's international air connectivity is expanding gradually, with a renewed focus on direct flights to Asian countries such as Thailand and Vietnam. Airlines like AirAsia Thailand and Vietjet are making travel more convenient by bringing in new direct flight routes from Indian cities to the aforementioned destinations. Vietjet is set to introduce a new direct route from Ahmedabad to the Vietnamese coast Da Nang, starting October 24, 2024.
AirAsia Thailand is also augmenting its India network with two fresh flights, Chennai to Phuket (thrice weekly from October 30, 2024) and Hyderabad to Bangkok (four times weekly starting October 27, 2024). AirAsia is furnishing special fares to ring in the launch, with flights from Hyderabad to Bangkok available at ₹7,390 and Chennai to Phuket for ₹6,990. These prices will be available for bookings made by September 22, 2024, with travel periods extending from October 2024 to March 2025.
These offers are exclusively availablke from the AirAsiaMOVE application or website. Plans exist to increase the number of connections between India and Thailand to 14 in the next few months. Bangkok and Phuket have become some of the favourite destinations for Indian travellers.
