The U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic has announced five job openings, including three openings for technical trades and two for specialized assistance roles.

Those interested in applying can do so online through the embassy’s website. Repair, adjust and install doors, windows, hardware, wall, ceiling and floor coverings, as well as fix furniture and paint surfaces. You will also assist in additional manual tasks such as demolition work, plumbing, preventive maintenance and general cleaning of work areas.



Install and repair electrical hardware, configure circuits, perform preventive maintenance of electrical systems, and manage power distribution systems, panels, transformers and lighting systems. Draft scopes of work and program descriptions, lead technical review panels, and provide technical leadership in design, implementation and follow-up of climate-related activities. Act as a technical expert in emerging infectious diseases, collaborating with government, professional associations and the private sector in the country.

Perform specialized maintenance and repairs of HVAC systems in all facilities of the new embassy complex, according to International Building Code (IBC) standards.
