For the past 13 years, Migz Osis has called only one place home. And he's paying it back by helping Benilde-La Salle Green Hills get closer to an NCAA juniors basketball title. The 5-foot-11 guard proved to be the game-changer when the Greenies' backs were against the wall in Game 2 of the Season 100 finals against the Perpetual Junior ALTAs.

It was his way of showing his gratitude to the school, stressing he wants to end his high school chapter as a champion. "We’re underdogs and I think nando’n talaga ‘yung puso sa amin. ‘Yun ‘yung tinuturo sa La Salle e, ‘yung grit, ‘yung Animo, ‘yung Lasallian fight," Osis told GMA News Online on Sunday.

[We're underdogs and I think our heart is really there. That's what La Salle teaches, the grit, the Animo, the Lasallian fight.] The 17-year-old Osis scored the last five points for the Greenies, sinking a layup against the defense of JD Pagulayan before hitting three straight free throws en route to a 95-91 victory.

The win was extra special for Osis, who spent the best part of his life at LSGH. He, however, had to work his way in and up after spending years in Team B. He was only elevated to the main team last year.

And he's making the most of every moment since then. "To be honest, para sa akin kasi graduating student na ako, 13 years na ako sa La Salle and one of the homegrowns talaga. Ever since kinder nasa LSGH na ako, iniisip ko lang that play na hindi ako papayag na last game ko na ‘to, ga-graduate akong champion," he added.

"Gusto kong i-close yung chapter ko dito na champion. Actually last year lang ako nag-Team A talaga. Lagi akong nalu-look down and I’m thankful every moment.

“ [To be honest, for me since I'm a graduating student, I've been in La Salle 13 years and am one of the homegrowns. Ever since kinder, I was in LSGH, I was just thinking during that play that I won't let this be my last game, I'll graduate a champion..

. I want to close this chapter here as a champion. Actually, it was only last year that I made Team A.

I was always looked down and I'm thankful every moment.] —JMB, GMA Integrated News.
