Whiskey Blue Limousine and Cornelius Heavy Wrecker have made it their mission to save lives and prevent drunk driving accidents by providing St. Joseph residents a safe ride with their new party buses. For $35 a night, people have a safe way to travel for an evening out and can also go in style in two buses complete with lights, music and a sober driver.
“We came across this opportunity and we thought this would be a great idea to put in place in this town so that people don't have to worry about getting DUIs, hurting themselves, hurting someone else," Whiskey Blue Limousine partner Shawn Polacheck said. To get on the bus, riders only have to step on board, pay the $35 with cash or a card and they have a ride for the rest of the evening to all of St. Joseph’s bars.
The party buses also can be reserved for group trips to sporting events, Weston Winery or even Kansas City. “We've got groups that want to go to sporting events," Polacheck said. "We're open for homecoming, prom, all that kind of stuff.
A lot of people like to do day trips out to Weston Winery for, you know, wine stuff and anything they want to do.” The party buses already have about 30 bookings. Unless there are specific reservations, the group plans to bring the buses out on the town two to three times a month.
