WALLBURG – Oak Grove topped rival Ledford 6-1 in Mid-Piedmont 3A Conference girls soccer Tuesday at Oak Grove.Katherine Lockamy had three goals and two assists for the Grizzlies. Victoria Lockamy added two goals and two assists.

Trista Warren had a goal, while Addison Bruins and Emmy Baab each had an assist.Carmen DiFoggio made seven saves in goal.Oak Grove improved to 5-6-2 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

Aixa Ramos and Sadie Nguyen were in goal, as Regan Barker and Victoria Ramirez keyed the defense.

W. Andrews won a doubleheader against North Forsyth 9-4 and 9-7 in Mid-State 3A Conference baseball Tuesday at North Forsyth. The Red Raiders improved to 5-10 overall and 2-8 in the conference.

HIGH POINT CENTRAL, ROCKINGHAM COUNTYWENTWORTH – High Point Central lost 45-0 against 21-4 against Rockingham County in a Mid-State 3A Conference baseball doubleheader Tuesday at Rockingham County. The Bison fell to 1-14 overall and 1-10 in the conference.HIGH POINT CHRISTIAN, CARMEL CHRISTIANHIGH POINT – High Point Christian won 12-8 against Carmel Christian in nonconference baseball Tuesday at Oak View Baptist Church.

Hunter Kelley went 4 for 5 with a grand slam and six RBIs to lead the Cougars (12-5). Kent Woodward added two hits and two RBIs, while Eli Withers also drove in a run.WESTCHESTER COUNTRY DAY, GREENSBORO DAYGREENSBORO – Westchester Country Day crushed Greensboro Day 17-4 in five innings Tuesday in PTAC baseball at Greensboro Day.

Jesse Covington went 2 for 2 with a home run and four RBIs for the Wildcats (3-8 overall, 1-3 PTAC). Ricky Velez went 3 for 3 with three RBIs, while Cameron Daniel went 1 for 2 with three RBIs. Tyler Mangus added three hits and two RBIs.

Ryan Engle also homered and drove in two runs. Ashton Pittman drove in a run, and Kaline Burr-Ellis had three hits, including a double and a triple. Daniel earned the pitching win, striking out three in four innings.

LEDFORD, ASHEBOROASHEBORO – Ledford beat Asheboro 4-1 in Mid-Piedmont 3A Conference baseball Tuesday at McCrary Park.Lucas Riley and Nick Soles each had two hits and an RBI for the Panthers (9-7 overall, 4-3 MPC). Libardo Santos added a hit and an RBI, while Wilmer Martinez drove in a run.

Ayden Wall and Caleb Butcher chipped in two hits apiece.Nick Graham earned the pitching win, striking out four over three innings of relief.The teams will play again Thursday at McCary Park – moved up a day and change of location due to the weather forecast.

BOYS GOLFAT BERMUDA RUN GC-WESTBERMUDA RUN – High Point Christian shot a team score of 158 while Westchester Country Day shot a 172 during Tuesday's PTAC boys golf match at Bermuda Run Golf Club's West course.Carter Medline shot a 38 to lead the Cougars, followed by Cameron Crumpler with a 39, Reid Stainback with a 40 and Carter Anderson with a 41.Mac Timberlake fired a 36 to key the Wildcats, who count three scores toward their NCISAA 2A total.
