Local airline celebrates 84th anniversary with curated Filipino desserts

The country's flag carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL), celebrates its 84th anniversary with a delicious twist to classic Filipino desserts.According to PAL, these desserts “highlight how food has the power to evoke nostalgia, transcend borders, and tell stories of heritage and shared experiences.”One of the newly introduced desserts from PAL is the Trio Bite-Sized DessertPlate consisting of classic leche flan topped with cantaloupe syrup, candied orange, and coconut cream.

It is available to business class passengers in North American destinations that include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and New York. Passengers may also choose the Filipino classic dessert halo-halo composed of a refreshing mix of sweetened fruits, various toppings, and milk. It can also be served with a cheese platter or an ice cream.



SOURCE: Philippine Airlines Meanwhile, its southern chocolate ganache cake slice “is a velvety smooth serving of decadent dessert made with luscious chocolate from premium cacao beans grown and sourced from skilled artisans in Davao.”The decadent dessert is available to business class passengers flying to Honolulu and Australia destinations.There is also the pacencia with mango butter cream filling, which consists of Filipino meringue cookies filled with the country's world-renowned sweetest mangoes.
