Lizzo has savagely reacted to Kendrick Lamar and Drake's beef at the 2025 Breakthrough Prize Awards.

Lizzo isn’t picking sides between Kendrick Lamar and Drake . While attending the 2025 Breakthrough Prize Awards, the Truth Hurts singer was asked whether she is Team Drake or Team Kendrick amid the rap war between the rap giants. The singer didn’t miss a beat, offering a laugh and a quick dodge.

“What? Hahaha, you are going to get me caught up,” she told the Mirror US , avoiding any potential backlash. The moment comes after a wave of public attention on Lizzo’s physical transformation, which she’s been documenting on social media for months. At the event, the singer had a noticeably slimmer figure that fans and critics alike have speculated whether her recent progress is due to fitness or a possible weight-loss drug.

Shaun T, Lizzo’s personal trainer and the well-known fitness expert behind programs like Insanity and T25, defended the star in a recent interview with TMZ. “The accusations are wildly annoying,” he said. “I think that generally, people think because now something is available and popular, they're not going to give people props.

People would rather hate before they give people props,” he added. He highlighted Lizzo’s commitment to health and fitness, saying, “I have trained Lizzo. Like, I have worked out with her, I have danced with her.

Lizzo is very fit,” he said. “People think, like, just because someone's like a 'plus size person' ..

. they're not fit.” Rumors about Ozempic use began to circulate in September 2024 after Lizzo shared updates on her fitness journey.

The drug, also known as semaglutide, has become a Hollywood trend, with numerous celebrities openly discussing its use. Still, Lizzo clapped back at the assumptions with humor. "When you finally get ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training [and being in a] calorie deficit," she joked on social media.

She also addressed a South Park episode that name-dropped her in a scene involving a character hoping to lose weight. "I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f-ck to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f-ck I am and put it in their cartoon that's been around for 25 years," she said. Lizzo, 36, continues to stay focused on self-love and spreading a positive image.
