Liverpool are reportedly looking at a 2025 transfer move for Nottingham Forest star Murillo . The Brazilian center-back has gained cult status at the City Ground following his 2023 switch from Corinthians. He played a key role in Forest dodging Premier League relegation in his debut 2023/24 campaign, with 32 EPL appearances, and his start to 2024/25 has caught the eye.

Murillo's anchoring of the defence has seen just 10 goals conceded in 11 games with only Liverpool - on six - conceding less so far this season. With Murillo under contract in Nottingham until 2028, Forest may demand in excess of £70m ($88m) for him, which could break the Liverpool transfer record currently held by Van Dijk.
Liverpool paid Southampton £75m ($95m) for the Dutch international in January 2018 and Forest could push their demands for Murillo beyond that figure if the Reds make a formal offer..
