A huge fountain of water is currently shooting into the sky in the middle of a city centre in Devon. Derry's Cross Roundabout, in Plymouth, is closed near Grosvenor Casino due to the city's new and unexpected water feature. A damaged valve is being blamed for the situation which is causing significant disruption.
Pictures and video from the scene show water shooting out of the ground on the roundabout. Plymouth Highways said: "Derry's Cross Roundabout is currently closed at the southern end due to damage to a water valve. This is causing long delays in the area.
Emergency services are in attendance." Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, said: "Derry's Cross blocked due to emergency water repairs around The Travelodge. On the roundabout.
