Drivers are facing delays near Folkestone this morning (October 18) as a vehicle has overturned. Both directions of travel have been partially blocked on the A260 Canterbury Road as a result, between Crete Road East and the A259. It has been confirmed that officers from Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics are at the scene.
After the road was fully closed in both directions earlier, the carriageway has since been partially re-opened to begin clearing the build-up of traffic. Traffic and travel monitoring service Inrix reports there are still considerable delays. Its latest update says: "Slow traffic due to overturned vehicle from Crete Road East to A259 Canterbury Road.
"Sensors indicate that road has reopened but delays still remain around the accident, traffic taking it in turns to pass." KentLive has approached emergency services for further details. This is a live event.
