Two of the three Linn County Board of Commissioners seats are on the Nov. 5 ballot, with one contested race. A longtime Republican incumbent will face off against a Democrat challenger.
This is the space that will report the results as they come in, starting Tuesday night. Commissioner Roger Nyquist is seeking his seventh term in office and has held his seat since 2000. He is also a board member of Greater Albany Public Schools, owns bowling alley Lakeshore Lanes and is a lifelong Albany resident.
Challenger David Scranage of Halsey is a retired electrical engineer. Commissioner Sherrie Sprenger, a registered Republican is running unopposed for her second term as Linn County commissioner. She previously served as a state representative from 2008-2021.
