A multi-vehicle crash on the M48 has caused traffic to be halted on the Severn Bridge this morning, Wednesday, September 18. The collision took place heading eastbound and traffic cameras appear to show that three vans were involved in the collision. Long queues are forming along the bridge.
We will keep you updated with the latest in our blog below. Vehicles are stationary between junction 2 and junction 1. The crash was first reported at around 7.

Traffic was held for around 25 minutes but lane two (of two) has now been reopened." Traffic is stopped on #M48 #SevernBridge eastbound between J2 #Chepstow & J1 #Aust due to a collision. Traffic Officers & Emergency services enroute.
