The A2 is shut to traffic due to an ongoing incident in Kent today (Saturday. The westbound carriageway is closed near Canterbury between the A2050 and the A28. The closure was first reported shortly before 8am.
Emergency services remain at the scene. A National Highways spokesperson said: "The A2 is closed westbound between the A2050 and the A28 near Canterbury due to a police led incident Emergency services including Kent Police are on scene. National highways Traffic Officers are on scene to assist with traffic management.
